Dr. Curiel specializes in the treatment of a variety of orthopedic conditions and performs several orthopedic procedures including:

About Dr. Curiel

Dr. Curiel joined the Active Medical Staff at Summit Healthcare in 2014. He completed an orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at The CORE Institute in Phoenix where he received specialized training in arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee. Dr. Curiel completed his residency at the University of South Alabama Medical Center, a regional trauma center, where he received extensive training in trauma and fracture care as well as general orthopedics. He also cared for the university’s NCAA Division I athletes with sports related injuries. He has conducted various award winning research projects. He earned his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his undergraduate studies at Arizona State University. Dr. Curiel is well trained in both the surgical and nonsurgical treatment of complex orthopedic conditions. He is able to explain options to patients in a way they can understand to help them make well informed decisions.

Dr. Curiel is an Arizona native and is fluent in Spanish. He has volunteered his medical services abroad in Ecuador and Mexico. When not practicing medicine, Dr. Curiel enjoys spending time with his family, CrossFit, playing guitar, camping and hiking.
